During an afternoon walk on a Monday in July, I passed by a garden of flowers, and around those flowers circled a white butterfly. I've seen many butterflies before, but never one so white. It's pale wings as it flew across  he garden, yearning and fleeting, carried such an odd sense of beauty. I wrote this piece to carry that same odd sense of beauty, to capture the yearning and fleeting nature of that pale white butterfly, as it flew through that garden.
