ALEXANDER SKELTON is an ambitious and inquisitive young Arizonan composer, performer, and collaborator. Currently pursuing degrees in Music Composition and Trombone Performance at Arizona State University, Alex’s diverse projects demonstrate his drive to create works that redefine his compositional practice and challenge him. He finds working with other performers invigorating, and loves to give back to his communities. He has worked extensively in collaboration with the Flagstaff Community Band, along with many other aspiring talented young musicians at ASU. Alex has composed for a variety of groups, ranging from smaller chamber works to larger ensembles. As a collaborator, he hopes to continue building meaningful relationships through his music. Beyond notating sound waves onto a computer screen, Alex enjoys immersing himself in video games, going down rabbit-holes on a variety of inquiries, and spending time with those who bring him joy and happiness.
