
BIO
ALEXANDER SKELTON is a young composer, trombonist, and collaborator from Flagstaff, Arizona. As an ambitious and inquisitive individual, Alex sees his work as the crafting and blossoming of experiences, aiming to create works that challenge both him and the listener’s perspectives.
Currently pursuing degrees in Music Composition and Trombone Performance at Arizona State University, Alex’s diverse projects demonstrate his drive to create works that reinforce and challenge his compositional practice. He finds collaborating with other artists invigorating and loves to give back to the artists and communities that enrich our everyday lives. He has worked extensively in collaboration with the Flagstaff Community Band, the 2025 DBR Lab, and many other aspiring and talented young musicians at ASU.
Alex has composed for a variety of groups, ranging from smaller chamber works to larger ensembles. As a collaborator, he hopes to continue building meaningful relationships through his music. Alexander is an artist because he believes that his work can foster remarkable experiences and connections that expand beyond the world of music.
